Beginner I and II

(80 hours)

General Objetives: Learn symbols and sounds that allow for basic communication characterized by simple, practical, and descriptive dialogues in Latin American, specifically Argentine, Spanish. Basic Spanish (grammar, pronunciation, and conversation) skills are developed.

Specific Objetives: 

• Introduce oneself

• Describe people, objects, and situations

• Ask questions, communicate, and use proper tenses

• Ask and give information about the city, meals, family, transportation facilities,etc.

• Express wishes, preferences, and sensations

• Give invitations

• Ask permission and favours

• Give orders and instructions

• Ask prices and measurements

• Learn basic vocabulary

• Formulate sentences, phrases and questions in correct order (syntax).

Intermediate   I and II

(80 hours)

General Objetives: Grammar, pronunciation, and conversation skills are developed and enhanced, emphasizing intonation, pronunciation, reading comprenhension, composition and key grammar including:

• Voicing an opinion with the proper use of the subjunctive mode

• Expressing ideas with adequate discrimination between reality and non-reality

• Improve written and oral understanding

Specific Objetives:

• Express preferences and comparisons

• Give opinions, express wishes and feelings using complex sentences.

• Express feelings, opinions, and recommendations while referring to facts in the past and related to the present.

• Express hypotheses about situations of  the past and the present.

• Express future with the conjunction "cuando"

• Express probable future, which is possible employing clauses that require the Subjunctive

• Express past,  present and hypothetical future

• Express will, wish, and feeling using the subjunctive

• Consolidate the vocabulary

• Compose  in accordance with more appropiate rules and style

Present Continuos Tense  and Progressive Tense with Verb estar + gerundio, past of   Verb estar + gerundio. Using gerundio like an Adverb.   With this level you will be able to understand complete texts, movies and tv programs

  In this level you will have advanced conversation, modisms, reading and writing.

  You will see different and customized topics to consolidate knowledge already acquired.

  This level moves deep into Argentine  history,  customs and characteristics.

  The culture, politics, science and sports of Argentina are studied via a wide range of texts, comments from a local TV station, and radio programs.

Superior

(80 hours)

With this level you will understand main ideas, the majority of movies, and participate effectivelly in most formal and informal conversations, even those that are linguistically complex and cover social, professional, and abstract topics.

Your communication will be fluent and only rarely will you have gaps in your vocabulary.

You will have great progress in your study of Spanish and Latin America culture and civilization, practicing conversation on history and popular traditions.

You will feel confident using Spanish. You will be able to express yourself with clarity and in the appropriate way in written communication. You will be able to express yourself effectively in most formal and informal writings on different topics. You will be able to write most types of correspondence, such as memos as well as social and business letters, and  writings within areas of your special interest or special fields.

You will be able to read with complete comprehension on unfamiliar subjects and a variety of literary texts, and understand almost all sociolinguistic and cultural topics.

At this level, we will practice the grammar and the modisms learned in the previous levels.
